Our client, a leading manufacturer in the office furniture sector is undergoing a pivotal transformation. With recent investment in advanced CNC machinery and a clear growth strategy, this privately owned European company is seeking an experienced sales professional with a proven track record in the office furniture market. As a dynamic Business Development Manager, you will drive growth and build relationships across the dealership, OEM manufacturing, and design & build sectors.

The Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you'll focus on expanding market share for an established and innovative product portfolio. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director for daily operations and strategically to the Board, you will:
  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting products and company values across all relevant channels.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the full range of Booths, Pods, and Screening solutions.
  • Manage and support existing dealer and design & build relationships.
  • Lead a key strategic partnership, working collaboratively to develop and deliver shared sales opportunities.
  • Identify and build new partner relationships to expand routes to market.
  • Maximise sales potential through aligned operations and broader business networks.
  • Provide valuable market and product feedback to inform ongoing design and development efforts.
  • Explore and develop OEM partnerships and range extension opportunities with other manufacturers.
  • Work directly with end clients as a product specialist, supporting project specifications through dealer partners.
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions as needed.
  • Conduct regular forecast reviews with senior leadership.
Your Skills and Experience:
  • Strong understanding of the office furniture sector.
  • High energy and genuine passion for the industry.
  • Proven success in developing and managing dealer channels and partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability in proactive account management.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and converting opportunities.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in managing pipelines and delivering accurate sales forecasts.
  • Customer-first approach with a strong focus on service and responsiveness.
  • Commercially savvy, with the ability to balance revenue growth and profitability.
