Front End Developer (Flutter / React / Mobile)

Certus Recruitment Group is partnered with a growing technology organisation in Parramatta to hire a Front End Developer with strong experience across both web and mobile platforms.
  
Reporting to the Technical Delivery Manager, you’ll work across React/TypeScript for web and Flutter for Android/iOS, helping to bring more development in-house, speed up delivery, and standardise front-end engineering practices.
  
You’ll collaborate with the Senior Front-End Developer, Core Systems, and QA teams to support new feature development, resolve UI issues, and improve the overall user experience across the product suite.
  
Responsibilities
  
Front-End & Mobile Development

• Build and maintain responsive web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Develop cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter (Dart) for Android and iOS.
• Support native mobile development when required (Kotlin/Java, Swift).
• Integrate applications with backend APIs, services, and authentication systems.
• Contribute to component libraries, design systems, theming, and accessibility standards.
• Support ongoing UX/UI improvements.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with the Senior Front-End Developer to align and streamline development practices.
• Collaborate with QA and Core Systems teams to reproduce and resolve UI or integration issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, agile ceremonies, and DevOps processes.
• Assist with build, packaging, and deployment workflows for web and mobile releases.

Modernisation & Continuous Improvement

• Assist in migrating legacy UI components to React and Flutter.
• Implement automated UI testing (unit, integration).
• Contribute to documentation and shared engineering knowledge.
• Recommend improvements for performance, maintainability, and usability.

Requirements
  
Essential Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years’ experience in front-end or mobile development.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• Demonstrated experience building mobile apps with Flutter (Dart).
• Familiarity with Android Studio, Xcode, and mobile build toolchains.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and authentication systems.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and UI optimisation.
• Experience using Git and working within team-based workflows.

Desirable Skills

• Native Android development (Kotlin/Java) or iOS development (Swift).
• Experience publishing mobile apps to Google Play or the Apple App Store.
• Experience with analytics, push notifications, or in-app messaging.
• Collaboration with UI/UX teams using tools such as Figma or Zeplin.
• Experience with automated testing tools (Jest, React Testing Library, Flutter Test).
• CI/CD exposure for web and mobile builds.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Electrical Engineering (Computer Science major preferred).
