South Coast or Northeast
45-55k Base, 65-75k OTE + Excellent Benefits
  
Our international, family-owned client covers a diverse range of sectors including life sciences, health & nutrition and environmental services. With their focus on sustainability, they are well-placed for further growth. They currently have an immediate and exciting opening for a Business Development Manager to be based on either the South Coast or the Northeast of England.
  
Business Development Manager responsibilities:  
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the environmental services sector.
  • Lead Generation: Develop and implement strategies to generate leads and convert them into sales opportunities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales team to create and execute effective sales strategies and marketing campaigns.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present proposals and bids for potential clients, demonstrating our expertise and value proposition.
  • Networking: Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our services and expand our client base.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., technical, marketing) to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
Business Development Manager requirements:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in environmental services, chemicals, waste management, etc.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Passion for environmental issues and sustainability.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Business Development Manager rewards:
