Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver major technical initiatives, ensuring quality, scalability, and velocity.
- Write and ship production code across a modern 100% TypeScript stack (React + Node).
- Design and enhance APIs, integrations, and AI-driven solutions for brokers and underwriters.
- Work with Product, Design, and Data to transform ambiguity into clear, maintainable solutions.
- Champion engineering standards: testing, observability, CI/CD, and code reviews.
- Guide junior and mid-level engineers, while influencing technical culture and architecture.
- 5+ years in a modern web stack with a proven record of technical leadership.
- Experience leading complex projects and contributing significantly to codebases.
- Strong adaptability with a bias toward incremental, high-value delivery.
- Bonus: exposure to late-stage startups (Series D+), big tech, or fintech/insurtech.
- Remote-first role across the US, or based in Austin, TX.
- Competitive salary: $200k–$235k base.
