Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance existing VB6 and .NET applications
- Investigate, reproduce, and resolve production and test defects
- Partner with QA to triage issues and strengthen defect-prevention processes
- Contribute to new development across .NET and React with modular, testable code
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and release processes
- Support ongoing product modernisation and refactoring of legacy components
Essential Skills
- Strong experience maintaining and debugging VB6 applications
- Proficiency in C# / .NET Framework (WinForms/WebForms)
- SQL Server experience, including stored procedures and schema design
- Production troubleshooting experience and working with QA teams
- Git version control and strong attention to detail
- Modern .NET (Core/6/8), React, TypeScript
- REST API integration, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments
- Interest in full-stack development and system modernisation
- Pragmatic problem-solver with a continuous learning mindset
- Collaborative, accountable, and diligent with documentation and task tracking
- 2+ years software development experience
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Electrical Engineering (CS major preferred)
